The company was originally founded by university graduate, Gemma Harris, after she worked for a large building development company. Her role there was to deliver new properties in pristine condition and address any problems before clients took ownership. She was then assigned to the property for one year after completion as part of the After Sales Customer Service.

On moving to Spain, Gemma noticed there was a high demand for general property management but found it wasn't adequately being catered for. Her research revealed that although there were a variety of companies offering such services, none were to a first class standard. So when asked to recommend firms there was no one she trusted enough to provide the same level of service that she would expect for herself.

From this Gemma decided to fill the substantial gap in the market by setting up Marbella Property Management. By providing a service that is both professional and personable the company has flourished and now deals mainly with the looking after and rental of properties. In the interest of establishing and maintaining a reputation for quality rentals, each of the properties are signed up to an annual property maintenance contract which means they are checked on a weekly basis, including appliances, and regularly cleaned and maintained to guarantee their quality to future renters.
